Abstract

ABSTRAK Peristiwa Yogya Kembali merupakan suatu peristiwa sejarah perjuangan yang terjadi pada pasca kemerdekaan. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk mengangkat kembali cerita peristiwa Yogya Kembali dengan mengulas sejarah perjuangan masyarakat untuk mempertahankan kedaulatan Republik Indonesia. Peristiwa sejarah ini adalah peristiwa yang penting bagi Indonesia yaitu pemindahan kekuasaan sipil dan milter dari tangan Kerajaan Belanda kepada Republik Indonesia yang pada masa itu Ibu Kota masih berada di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Selama ini, proses penarikan kembali tentara Belanda dari Indonesia itu tidak banyak diceritakan dan hanya menjadi peringatan pada 29 Juni pada tiap tahunnya. Untuk mengulas kembali cerita sejarah dibutuhkan media komunikasi visual untuk menceritakan sejarah dengan pendekatan kreatif dengan memilih media cergam. Dalam perancangan cergam ini data dikumpulkan dengan mengunjungi Monumen Jogja Kembali untuk mengumplkan data dan wawancara serta membaca buku sebagai referensi terkait sejarah peristiwa ini. Dengan analisis metode 5W+1H dan penulisan naratif, buku cergam ini diharapkan dapat berfungsi sebagai media komunikasi yang menjelaskan peristiwa sejarah menjadi lebih informatif. Hasil dari perancangan cergam ini diharapkan dapat menjadi media yang mampu menceritakan dan merekonstruksi kembali peristiwa sejarah dengan melalui media cergam melalui pendekatan kreatif dan naratif sehingga informasi yang disampaikan dapat lebih mudah diterima oleh target audiens. This design aims to bring back the story of the Yogya Return incident by reviewing the history of the people's struggle to defend the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia. This historical event is an important event for Indonesia, namely the transfer of civil and military power from the hands of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Indonesia, which at that time the capital city was still in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. So far, the process of withdrawing the Dutch troops from Indonesia has not been told much and only serves as a commemoration on June 29 each year. To review historical stories, visual communication media is needed to tell history with a creative approach by choosing comic media. In designing this comic book, data was collected by visiting the Jogja Return Monument to collect data and interviews and reading books as references regarding the history of this event. With the analysis of the 5W+1H method and narrative writing, it is hoped that this comic book can function as a communication medium that explains historical events in a more informative way. The results of the design of this comic book are expected to be a medium that is able to tell and reconstruct historical events through the media through a creative and narrative approach so that the information conveyed can be more easily accepted by the target audience.
