Abstract

There were thousands of highly valuable craft art works in the Presidential Palaces of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, it was difficult to establish their economic value. The calculation method of craft art works that fitted the characteristics of the presence of the artistic objects and their intangible value was highly required, which was a price estimation based on material cost approach and latest processing and their intangible value content. The method could give quick calculation results of the nominal value of the craft art works of the Presidential Palaces of the Republic of Indonesia. The results of the calculation showed that there were approximately 13,000 craft art works. It provided a clear direction in calculating the value of the craft art works. It has been socialized to the officers of the Department of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.
