Abstract
Komposisi musik Sasambah merupakan bentuk sastra pembukaan dalam upacara adat Minangkabau, yang berbentuk petatah-petitih, diucapkan dalam bentuk tanya jawab oleh petinggi adat dalam bentuk perundingan untuk memutuskan sebuah kesepakatan dalam perundingan. Dalam konsep di atas, Sasambah yang merupakan bentuk sastra menjadi bagian dari musik setelah melalui beberapa tahapan yang berkaitan dengan bentuk Sambah secara asli dijadikan bentuk komposisi.
