Abstract

A nightmare is a mysterious, even scary or terrifying experience. Some of us may not be able to forget the nightmare when we wake up, we still have feelings such as sadness, fear, disappointment, paranoia and anger, as well as several other feelings that contain negative emotions. This writing tries to explore the deposits of feelings that remain when waking up (waking up from sleep containing nightmares) and through works of sculpture as a medium for expressing these nightmares. When trying to understand more deeply about nightmares, approaching empirical experiences, and reading through the lens of psychoanalysis, the concept of the presence of nightmares and the feelings that accompany them cannot be dismissed as just a dream or nonsense.It is hoped that this writing can increase insight and stimulate sensitivity towards nightmares experienced as a particular mechanism for self-reflection and/or can help readers become better individuals
