Abstract

INTISARI Fast fashion memberikan manfaat seperti memperluas akses tren mode, membuka lapangan kerja, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi. Namun, di balik itu, terdapat persoalan serius terkait lingkungan dan etika produksi, seperti pencemaran, limbah tekstil berlebih, serta kerusakan ekosistem akibat bahan kimia sintetis. Karya ini merupakan bentuk kritik melalui penggabungan motif batik tengkorak yang merepresentasikan kehancuran lingkungan sekaligus simbol manusia sebagai pelaku dan korban dari krisis ekologis yang terjadi. Teknik ecoprint dan pewarna alami digunakan sebagai upaya menjaga kelestarian alam. Proses penciptaan karya ini menggunakan pendekatan estetika berdasarkan teori Edmund Burke serta metode penciptaan Hawkins yang mencakup eksplorasi ide, eksperimen, dan perwujudan. Berlandaskan teori estetika dan ergonomi, karya diwujudkan dalam enam busana kasual berwarna nuansa cokelat yang diharapkan menjadi media edukatif dan inspiratif dalam mengajak masyarakat untuk berbusana secara etis, berkelanjutan, dan tetap nyaman. INTISARI (ABSTRAK)   ABSTRACT Fast fashion offers benefits such as expanding access to fashion trends, creating jobs, and driving economic growth. However, behind this lies a serious issue related to the environment and production ethics, such as pollution, excessive textile waste, and ecosystem damage caused by synthetic chemicals. This work is a form of criticism through the combination of batik skull motifs that represent environmental destruction as well as symbolize humans as both perpetrators and victims of the ecological crisis that is occurring. Ecoprinting techniques and natural dyes are used as efforts to preserve the environment. The creation process of this work employs an aesthetic approach based on Edmund Burke's theory and Hawkins' creation method, which includes idea exploration, experimentation, and realization. Based on aesthetic and ergonomic theories, the work is realized in six casual garments in earthy brown tones, intended to serve as an educational and inspirational medium in encouraging society to dress ethically, sustainably, and comfortably.
