Abstract
Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan setelah membandingkan antara film versi layar lebar dan versi televisi penulis mendapatkan beberapa kesimpulan bahwa perbedaan aspek rasio antara film layar lebar dan televisi mengakibatkan terjadinya pemotongan gambar pada versi televisi, pemotongan gambar dapat merusak unsur mise en scane dan perubahan komposisi gambar, pemotongan gambar pada versi televisi akan merubah dan mengurangi pemaknaan sebagai informasi yang diterima penonton, seperti berkurangnya makna atau kesan dramatis atau efek kedalaman suasana dari suatu tempat dan hilangnya penekanan terhadap pentingnya peran seorang tokoh dalam frame.
