Abstract

In My Place adalah sebuah lagu alternatif rock yang dipopulerkan oleh band Coldplay, sebuah group band yang berasal dari Inggris, In My Place ditulis oleh semua personil band untuk album kedua mereka A Rush Of Blood to The Head. In My Place di rilis pada 5 Agustus 2002 sebagai lagu andalan dari album A Rush Of Blood to The Head. In My Place berhasil mencapai nomer dua di United Kingdom Single Charts, kesuksesan In My Place terlihat dari sejak pertama kali di rilis di website mereka pada 5 agustus 2002 pukul 12. 15 (GMT + 0). Selang satu minggu kemudian setelah website di rilis, In My Place di down load sebanyak dua juta kali oleh seluruh penggemar Coldpalay di seluruh dunia, kerangka dari aransemen In My Place adalah : Introduksi, lagu pokok A-A-B, Interlude, lagu pokok A-A-B dan koda. Pada format lagu asli, In My Place menggunakan format band dimainkan dengan tempo andante, dalam aransemen ini dirubah ke dalam bentuk septed dua gitar dan string, instrumenyang dipakai dalam aransemen ini yaitu : gitar I, gitar II, violin I, violin II, viola, celo dan kontrabas.
